Noel grew up in South Wales, UK, where he pursued his interest in music. During his school years, he studied cello and subsequently joined several local youth orchestras. Noel performed with these orchestras throughout the UK at venues such as the Royal Festival Hall London, Birmingham Symphony Hall & St. David's Hall Cardiff.
He later joined the Greater Gwent Youth Orchestra and performed on tours of Disneyland Paris and Tuscany. Alongside his work with orchestras, Noel performed with a variety of smaller ensembles, including piano trios, string quartets and bands.
Inspired by composers such as John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith and Michael Giacchino, Noel went on to study music, composition, sound design, sound engineering and music technology through GCSE and A Level, before graduating university with a BA (hons) Creative Sound and Music.

Noel is an accomplished composer specialising in scoring for TV and film. His knowledge and experience of the orchestral world heavily influences his creative choices and music.
Noel is particularly experienced in creating solo and ensemble string scores and enjoys utilising these instruments to create gritty textures and atmospheric soundscapes.
Whether it's an intimate string performance or an orchestral epic score, Noel ensures each project he works on is full of passion, energy and creative flair.
conductor

Noel is an established Musical Director and Orchestral Conductor, something he has loved doing since conducting a string ensemble in concert when he was seventeen. Since then, Noel has conducted string ensembles, bands and symphonic orchestras with choirs and soloists.
From 2010 - 2017, Noel was appointed Musical Director and Principal Conductor of the University of Bath Orchestra, where he further developed his conducting skills. During his tenure, the orchestra grew from 15 to 70+ performers, becoming the University's flagship music ensemble. As a progressive Musical Director, Noel chose a wide range of repertoire, from classical through to contemporary, with an emphasis on modern music by living composers.
